Dear PUMAs,

The 2008 PUMA Conference Committee is ready to ROAR with these incredible conference deals! For the amazing (and we mean that sincerely) price of $250, you will receive the following:

- Lodging at a FIVE STAR hotel – the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C. for THREE nights (Thursday, Friday and Saturday)

- Breakfast on Saturday and Sunday.
- Lunch on Saturday.
- AND it also includes the price of the conference itself.

Mind boggling, crazy good isn’t it?

Registration will open tomorrow at 12noon PST at:

http://www.pumaconference08.com

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

After the first 250 people register at the $250 price, IT IS GONE. As we are under tight time constraints with the hotel for numbers and commitment at this time, once you register there will be NO refunds. (Please reread that sentence before you register.)

1. YES we have a registration offer if you’re local or not planning to stay at the hotel. If you would like to attend without the hotel room, the price is $150 (or if you aren’t one of the first 250 to register).

2. YES we welcome vendors. If you would like to have a “vendor table,” you may do so (we reserve the right to determine if your organization is a good fit). We have 30 slots open for $100 per table.

3. YES we need sponsors. If you’re interested, please email us immediately at PUMAConference@yahoo.com

4. YES you will have an opportunity to volunteer – you can do so during the registration process.

5. YES we are still working on how folks can participate via the internet and radio. Details will follow late next week.

Email us with any questions at pumaconference@yahoo.com

Hillary Detractor–His Chickens Come Home to Roost

July 16, 2008

Guest post by: Navyvet

On June3, 2008, Hillary gave one of her finest speeches yet. The crowd was excited and cheered for a long time. I know, for one, that I expected her to keep on fighting the good fight for us and take it to the floor in Denver. Below are three parts of her speech:

When all else fails: PURGE

July 15, 2008

Obama has done it again. A crucial position that was inconveniently obvious on his website didn’t square well with the facts. So rather than retract the position he took he used another tried and true method of dealing with problems. He just made the previous position disappear. As if he had never had it. Viola! Just like that.

Barack Obama purges Web site critique of surge in Iraq

Barack Obama’s campaign scrubbed his presidential Web site over the weekend to remove criticism of the U.S. troop “surge” in Iraq, the Daily News has learned.

The presumed Democratic nominee replaced his Iraq issue Web page, which had described the surge as a “problem” that had barely reduced violence.

Most of us are used to these scrubs. Anytime something controversial is discovered on one of Obama’s sites and we bring it to everyone’s attention it gets scrubbed. Kinda like the scrubbing that the Trinity United Church of Christ did when the rest of the world discovered those inconvenient racist and anti-American rantings that Obama conveniently happened to miss for those 20 years he was a member of that church.

In fact, if what I have to say causes some people to feel uncomfortable I have probably done my job. I believe that we have an obligation to speak the truth regardless of the consequences. So gird your loins, get your head on straight and enjoy the ride. Or get lost!”

To my loyal readers

July 14, 2008

I will be busy today working on the Morning Q No Quarter radio show that I will be co-hosting tomorrow with BettyJean Kling. This makes commentary on recent events at the blog today nearly impossible. So please bear with me and feel free to look around at anything previously written. Or jam out to some tunes at the Music selection.

You may also use this thread to make suggestions as to what should be discussed tomorrow on the show.

I will publish a press release for the show as soon as it is written.

Thank you for your patience and your participation.

Isn’t it Ironic?

July 14, 2008

bumpRumor has it that the initial reaction about this New Yorker illustration from the Obama campaign isn’t what we were told and it is quite telling. It seems that one of the Obama staffers who coincidentally just so happens to be a member of the Nation of Islam immediately contacted one his lieutenants (some bud of Farrakhan) at the temple. As you can imagine, they were not amused. My source couldn’t confirm everything that was said but overheard the terms Whitey and Devil quite a few times. I have feelers out to confirm my suspicions but according to my source, the word is that a fatwa has been issued for the artist.

Obama Supporters Jump Ship

July 13, 2008

Before they can be thrown under the bus.

Some Obama supporters have had it. They woke up from the trance and finally realized that Mr. Hopey Changey is nothing more than a slick snakeoil salesman. They are mad. Mad as hell. And they want everyone to know it.

Take a look:
